Empowering Their Potential
We help children achieve their goals through early intervention therapy.
We help children achieve their goals through early intervention therapy.
New York State Early Intervention Program (EIP), is a statewide initiative designed to support and promote the healthy development of infants and toddlers. The program is committed to providing early intervention services to children from birth to three years old who may be experiencing developmental delays or disabilities.
These services are tailored to support the child's development and may include:
Developmental Evaluations:
Comprehensive assessments to identify developmental delays or disabilities. Conducted by a multidisciplinary team of professionals, such as psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.
Service Coordination:
A service coordinator is assigned to each family to help navigate the early intervention process. They assist in developing the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and coordinate the delivery of services.
Speech Therapy:
Targeted at improving communication skills, speech therapists work with children who have difficulty with speech sounds, language development, and communication.
Physical Therapy:
Focuses on enhancing gross motor skills, strength, coordination, and overall physical development.
Occupational Therapy:
Aims to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities such as eating, dressing, and playing.
Family Training and Counseling:
Guidance and support provided to parents and families to help them understand and address their child's developmental needs.
Nutrition Services:
Assessment and guidance related to a child's nutritional needs, especially relevant for children with feeding issues or specific dietary requirements.
Assistive Technology Devices and Services:
Provision of devices or services that assist children in overcoming developmental challenges, such as communication devices or adaptive equipment.
It's important to note that the specific services a child receives are determined based on the child's individual needs as identified through the evaluation process. The services are outlined in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), which is developed collaboratively with the family and the service providers.
